Congratulations to the E.Kanoo Racing team, hopefully GAS motorsport can bring the record back to Australia 🙂
E.Kanoo have also beaten the IRS supra record, running a 7.12 @ 201 mph. What a great achievement!

GAS Motorsport 2jz goes 207mph at Jamboree Sydney 2013 to make it the fastest full body supra in the world. It runs a 9inch solid rear axle not IRS.
Congrats to Po and the GAS team.
Back in late October 2012 myself and some friends took our supras and other cars down to a 1000m sprint event organised at an airport in a regional town named Cooma which is in NSW Australia. I had gone to a similar event the year before and had great fun but also the car was just tuned and I was sorting out bugs, this year I still had ignition issues but car did run better top speed.
I managed a best run of 24.1 seconds @ 240kph and 27th out of 95 overall, bet the lambo so that’s all that matters! Another supra guy ended up with a 21.6 second and 281kph with a 3.4lt beast, which was the top speed of the day. 35′ GTR took out the top stop with a run of 20 seconds flat at 261.8kph due to pesky AWD!
Start line was really bad loose surface, bad 30kph head wind and also runway was slight uphill. Hopefully next year I can improve with all the bugs in the car sorted and the start line getting re-surfaced.

The last video I’m uploading tonight – the video that started it all for me to get into this supra media coverage/publishing. Now over 120,000+ views on youtube I’m pretty stoked and overwhelmed by the reponse. Although a simple video diary of pictures and seems to hit the spot with viewers. At the time I had no idea about cars or supras but managed to do the conversion successfully with the help of guys from supraforums and friends/family.
My Toyota Supra SZR to RZ conversion. Changing the 2jzge to a vvti 2jzgte.
Walk around of my 1998 Toyota Supra VVTi Single Turbo with Garrett T51R turbo. Larger intake, removal of AFM (When upgrade ECU), exhaust and fuel system to be done. Stock wheels on for now as it will be in and out of shops getting some fabrication and tuning done. This was before ECU and lots of other mods happened!
Running and revving of my Toyota Supra VVTi Single Turbo with Garrett T51R turbo. Few finishing touches to be complete before drivable, all the smoke is from the exhaust and squealing is vacuum issue, don’t mind the dodgy clutch control! haha
Before I started up the VVTi 2JZGTE T51R SIngle Turbo setup for the first time, I forgot to remove a wiring loom holder in front of manifold which caused vacuum leak and very loud squeal noise!
First Startup of my Toyota Supra VVTi Single Turbo with Garrett T51R turbo. Currently ECU needs to re-learn and radiator overflow hose was loose and air was getting through making squealing sound, better video to come once idling.
