This is a TRAC and ABS system technical training article from Lexus, it shows the Toyota Supra (and Camry) Traction Control System (TRAC), ABS system and how they all work together with the ECU’s.
These documents can give further troubleshooting steps to the service manual and give a better understanding of the system in general.
The 2JZGTE VVTi ECU pinouts and Body Loom wiring diagrams have been recently updated to include new information, this includes some additional the Auto (Tiptronic) pinouts and the BG1 connector body loom pins.

Found in the 97.9-02 JDM Toyota Supra (RZ and SZ-R only) was the REAS suspension system – REAS (Relative Absorber System) shock absorber system.
I was lucky enough to have this suspension in my supra before I swapped it out a few years ago for some HKS hypermax coilovers.
I’ve posted a link below with some information on the system and also one of my favourite pictures of the supra, a chassis picture without the shell showing the REAS suspension.
Basically it was to improve ride comfort while still having good flat cornering ability. I’ve also put some pictures of mine when I pulled it out, I still have this available although I’m not sure if they can be re-filled or re-used.
(Translation from Toyota Japan – hence the japanese-english translation wording!)
REAS (Relative Absorber System) for comfortable ride and high handlings stability.
The REAS features an entirely new mechanism that functions not only to achieve a comfortable ride with a relatively small amount of damping force in cases like when both tires hit a gap in the road, but also functions to stabilize the body of the automobile against lateral “rolling” motion by adding a suitable amount of extra damping force and absorb the force acting in the lateral roll direction, as when cornering, when the pattern of depressions and protrusions in the road surface are different on the left and right wheel sides or when subjected to cross winds. Three main points of the REAS structure are as follows
1. The left and right shock absorbers have separate oil chambers with a REAS valve positioned on the connection flow passage.
2A single gas chamber is shared by the left and right.
3. Using the separate actions of hydraulic fluid and gas, a separating piston is activated by the coupled movements from the right and left.

This calculator shows the effect of fitting various sized diff and gearboxes to the MKIV supra, it also contains a graphical chart showing the effect of different tyre and wheel sizes and also offsets that effect both fitment to the hub and the change on speed/acceleration. There are two main sheets on the file, Wheel size fitment and gear ratio calculator.
Thanks to Homer off mkivsupra.net owners club for this excel file, If you have any other handy supra or 2jz related calculators feel free to contact us below.
Supra Gear & wheel size Calculations
Thought I’d had these posted but realised I hadn’t, this is the 2005 IS300 workshop manual pages. These come in handy for the VVTi guys due to the VVTi head torque and specs, most apply to the 2JZGE and 2JZGTE VVTi figures.
Most of these documents are applicable to the J-SPEC and Europe-SPEC supras. There might be differences to driving side, wiring and some features and functions.
This is a guide to cleaning the VVTi Oil Control Valve (OCV) and filter on the 2JZGTE or 2JZGE VVTi engine. This is the valve the controls the oil pressure sent to the VVTi intake cam gear assembly. This can be done as preventive maintenance, to replace with new components or if there are error codes. I’ve seen various forums that mention code 59 for supra and P1329 for IS300/Aristo which may be cleared by cleaning the OCV if there are issues with the VVTi system.
