Australia Day Drift and Show and Shine

One of my supra mates (TRD widebody with single turbo) invited me out to Sydney Motorsport Park for the launching of the new south circuit for the Australian Drifting Grand Prix and he also entered his car into a All Stars Show and Shine which was at the same event on Australia Day (26th January).

I’m not the biggest fan of drifting but it was a fun day out with plenty of variety of cars on display and some nice loud drifting 🙂

2JZGTE VVTi Coil and Igniter Diagram

After seeing an incorrect 2jzgte vvti coil and wiring diagram online I quickly put a simple one together that will come in handy! This is useful for working on the coils and igniter, please refer to more in-depth wiring diagrams when tracing wiring or working on more in depth wiring problems such as the VVTi wiring diargams you can find HERE.

Yes the coils are numbered 1,3,2!!!

I have confirmed this with IS300 workshop manual, Japanese wiring diagrams and also my own car.

Toyota Supra SZR to RZ conversion (2JZGE – 2JZGTE VVTi)

The last video I’m uploading tonight – the video that started it all for me to get into this supra media coverage/publishing. Now over 120,000+ views on youtube I’m pretty stoked and overwhelmed by the reponse. Although a simple video diary of pictures and seems to hit the spot with viewers. At the time I had no idea about cars or supras but managed to do the conversion successfully with the help of guys from supraforums and friends/family.

My Toyota Supra SZR to RZ conversion. Changing the 2jzge to a vvti 2jzgte.

VVTi 2jzgte first startup

* – This is where it all started – The original 2JZGTE VVTi first start up after the original conversion!)*

VVTi 2jzgte engine conversion first startup, running really rough as engine had been sitting in japan for 3 years, changed the plugs and all good 🙂

VVTi 2jzgte running

This is where it all started – The original VVTi 2JZGTE running after the original 2JZGE – 2JZGTE conversion.

The VVTi 2jzgte engine conversion was running correctly this time, although it was still in bits and pieces.

VIC Supra Dyno day 2007

VIC supra dyno day back in 2007, few pictures. This video was when I had the old wheels and wing not painted 🙂 Think the best result for the day was over 800rwhp from memory. I got 350rwhp on 16psi. Thanks to VIC supra guys for organising a great day.
